a very special One...

"What´s it with the Unicorn, Julia?" my beloved Flatmate Erin would ask me and point at my Shirt.
"You got a Tattoo of a Unicorn, and now this awesome shirt, what´s it all about?

The thing with the Unicorns and me basically began in April 2012, when I left Cologne and moved to Berlin. After several years of working for TV Production companies that didn´t make me happy at all (we were producing trash TV and as an Actress this is like working for the devil), I decided to quit and do what I was born to become: Creative all the time in everything, whether singing, acting, dancing, writing or performing.
By this time, I dreamed very often about Unicorns and saw them in daily life everywhere in pictures, ads, clothes, etc, and felt very attracted to them.
I watched the Movie "The last Unicorn" which I´d seen like 1000 times before and totally could see myself and my upcoming way in life in the meaning of the Unicorn... a being, alone on her path, without really knowing why she´s here or what her purpose in life is.

The discovery of her unique beauty, intuition, and sensuality, apart from every convention, free from all forms of society, and realizing her pure power full of love, to light the way for others.
Her immense strength and wisdom would radiate so much peace, that the seer of a Unicorn would feel healed and blessed in an instant.
Inspired by this symbol I wrote a Song called "You gotta choose-Unicorn". Which is about realizing duality and the power of choosing your feelings.
Every feeling coming up in your life can be observed and then you can choose whether you want to let it affect you or not, like an observer watching the waves of emotions coming and going.
You would realize that letting yourself go into certain feelings of lovesickness, frustration, anger, sadness, etc. would lead you downwards. Then you´d see, that instead of going through it, you could acknowledge that most of the suffering we experience is chosen by us. Pain is inevitable, but suffering is chosen!
So with my Song I want to empower the people. Since we choose what we feel, always choose to be a Unicorn!
Be Strong and have pure intentions, full of love and peace, radiating light and dignity <3

My first times...

One of my highlights in 2011 was the shooting of my second Musicvideo for which I got a Feature of Jens Kindervater aka Michael Mind. Yepp, he did "Blinded by the light". Huge!

"Second Video?! What about the first one?" You might ask. 

We took it off the Internet as the style of music I wanted to do after that was so different that it just would´ve caused confusion. You still can find my first Song on the Compilation "The Dome 50", called "Shine Like Gold". But I must add that it´s kind of embarrassing now, haha! Very good that artists change their taste and so their style of music. Otherwise...Jesus!

It was written though by my Ex-Boyfriend and one of our best friends. 

Actually THE Friend! He was the reason for meeting my Ex and until today I presume it was his plan to hook us up together...

For my second Single "Don´t Stop", we shot this wonderful Video with the Photographers I am usually working with, since many Years. Felix Hild and Achim Hehn. Achim did most of my Actingpics and Felix more the Pop-Art Musicpics. I know them both from "Loonyland". The Party I am dancing for as a performer since ages. 

For the Video, Jens wanted to have "beautiful" Shots. So I worked on being beautiful which can be a hard job especially in a shooting when 5 people are watching you...

Smiling, dancing sexy, lipsyncing, la la la! It was lots of Fun as acting hot on purpose, turns out to be veeeery funny!! What a clown I can be. I really wonder though, how people must feel shooting a Pornmovie acting all hot and excited the way they do...wuaahh

 We shot insanely for 18 hours!! Afterwards I could´t listen to it anymore and couldn´t feel sexy either any longer :D

Another massive three year ongoing Highlight was being the Backstagepresenter for Europes biggest Musicshow called "The Dome". The never ending Musicshow we all watched at some point in our life's, mostly sundays, chilling in bed, being overwhelmed by this huge Popcircus. I was so blessed, as I interviewed people like James Morrison, who was adorable and sang a Birthday song with me.
The All American Rejects, where I got nervous because the singer was just too hot for me!
Sunrise Avenue, who always tried making me nervous, Kaiser Chiefs, Kelly Rowland who was just lovely, David Guetta, Taio (f***!!) Cruz who was the personification of Peace and short answers, Mike Posner who was a pro in hardcore flirtation, etc. The list goes on forever, as I almost did more than 150 Interviews!!

Before I did the Backstage interviews, we started with my own little Webshow "The Dome-Schoolattack". I would visit schools and surprise classes at the age of 9-11 and celebrate a chartparty with them. Dancing and singing to their favourite songs, chatting about music and I´d bring some of their stars to their classroom. You can imagine how funny, absurd, cheerful and chaotic this was! Just imagine 30 nine year old kids, singing and dancing insanely to Rihanna or Lady Gaga and me in the middle - doing the same...Wonderful times! I was living my Peter Pan syndrome at its best.

Losing my virginity

Willkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome and Holá!

So this is my very first Blog entry and I am sitting here wondering how I can do it best, just like when I lost my virginity....
Thank you first of all for coming to my site and taking the time to check me out!
I would love to share my new life with you. "Why new life?" you may ask...

Last Year I decided to quit everything I was: What defined me, what I was doing in and with my life. I even quit my longterm relationship because I knew that in order to get more fulfilling results in life one has to travel new paths, even if that means sacrifice and going out of one´s comfort zone.
Scary though!
With only 2 suitcases I left Cologne, the city I´d lived in the last 10 years, where all my friends were. I quit my job, sold my furniture and just left - to Berlin.
Realizing that I was doing things I didn´t love for too long probably gave me the guts to do this!
I am an actress, a singer, a performer and a dancer but I got stuck in other jobs and at one point I forgot about pursuing my dreams....
So the call hit me hard!
Now it´s all about recreating myself and becoming who I am meant to be. Fashion, Music, Film, Parties, Friends, Berlin and how you create miracles in your life!
I would love to take you with me and share all that is coming with you, because I will always be here to remind you to never give up on your dreams! <3
